Comments : I am a lifelong New Orleans musician , percussionist and vocalist following in the footsteps of my Father. He was my inspiration. He played drums, piano and sang in New Orleans and the Quarter, all his life . Of course, my music career started very early and quickly became the most important thing in my life. As a young man, I always had my sticks ready to play on anything and everything. Earned my Masters in Music Education and never wanted to give up playing. Katrina-Rita destroyed our home in Chalmette, Louisiana and we ultimately made our way to Houston looking for opportunities to play/work. St. Bernard Parish will not be easily rebuilt. It has suffered damage from the winds and waters of multiple levee breaks near our home and we also had to contend with massive oil spills. We are optimistic Texas will offer a new adventure, challenges and stimulation with it's own musical heritage and appreciation of the arts.
